Yet again, the electromedical sector and stiff polyurethane sign the new BT 4500 with a winning alliance. A beautiful development, the new automatic clinical chemistry analyser that Biotecnica together with RGS Europa have succeeded in concretising. The BT 4500 is a large-sized trolley-mounted appliance with a decidedly innovative design that perfectly combines different moulding technologies, like the upper body made of stiff polyurethane, integrated with a transparent thermoformed methacrylate.

The latter process is the excellent synthesis of a long and difficult experimental stage for glueing the two materials, where the experience and ongoing research of RGS Europa have made it possible to achieve an outstanding result in terms of bonding and assembly accuracy, bringing an important innovation to this sector.

 

For the production of the machinery Baydur® 60 was used in its certified self-extinguishing formulation, which has made it possible to combine resistance with very large surfaces and with the painstaking care to design down to the tiniest details given by Studio Mac Design of the Architect Roberto Maccioni.

 

As little as 8 aluminium moulds were necessary to produce the entire piece of machinery made up of 17 parts.
CNC-milled aluminium moulds and high pressure foaming machine for moulded parts of impeccable technical and functional quality as well as in terms of aesthetics. Moulding using aluminium moulds is the ideal solution for the more complex projects.

 

Due to the large size of the appliance, RGS Europa set up a totally dedicated assembly and logistic area to be able to complete a difficult and delicate process.

 

Last but not least, the black serigraph on the outside of the upper methacrylate has signed a beautiful product both inside and outside.

 

The end result has been the perfect synergic cohesion between idea and design, development of the moulds and production, assembly and logistics.

RGS Europa has been operating successfully with electromedical companies for over twenty years. This sector, more than others, has found it possible to appreciate and apply stiff polyurethane technology.

In the characteristics of stiff polyurethane, this sector finds the perfect answer to the need to reconcile limited productions with high technical and aesthetic performance levels.
